
The students in the Web Page Design class(s) at Steubenville High School have been busy working on their own WebQuests, Scavenger Hunts, or participating in the Oracle Foundation Think Quest contest. Students researched other WebQuests as assignments, we developed pre-writing activities, discussed concept identification, design elements, structure, and relevancy. Students were given an opportunity to pick their own category for a WebQuest. A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is drawn from the Web. WebQuests are designed to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis and evaluation. For those brave enough to decipher a WebQuest, a special prize lays hidden at the far end of a twisting path. Those who solve the riddle will be posted on the WebQuest Roster for each of the WebQuests that you choose to take. Simply email your completed riddle to: shsweb@comcast.net , type in your answer along with the name of the Quest that you took. Be sure to leave your name and the state that you live in so that we can post it on the web site. As students complete their assignments, they will be posted to this page. Good-Luck!!
