Resources for Science
and Technology Education
(A list of websites for students and teachers)
Here is a brief description of our program and some
photos of the changes that have taken place during the first semester of the
2002-2003 school year.
Technology is a semester course
for all 7th grade students at Meadowbrook Middle School. Students are given a list of the modules and
asked to select 4 that are of interest to them. They will then be assigned a partner who selected the same module
and work in teams.
CONSTRUCTION BASIC
ELECTRICITY BIOMEDICAL
AERODYNAMICS MECHANISIMS HYDRAULICS
INDUSTRIAL
CONTROLS GRAPHICS &
ANIMATION ELECTONICS
MATERIALS & PROCESSES NAVIGATION & GPS CNC MILL
In each
module, the student will complete 10 computer assisted instruction (CAI)
lessons, 2 tests, and a written student workbook. Students will rotate to a new module after they complete the
current module. Lessons take approximately
60 minutes to complete. There are also
other activities that take place in the classroom.
Students will also study various careers using CareerTEK software and complete several surveys to find three careers that might be of interest to them and the various requirements of those careers.
