Every 7th grade
student is required to take technology education. The course length is 1 semester long divided into two 9-week
quarters. The classes are coed and
average approximately 18 in class size.
We have 12 ScanTEK 10 hour
modules that the students rotate through.
They include Aerodynamics, Basic Electricity, Biomedical Technology, CNC
Mill, Construction, Electronics, Graphics & Animation, Hydraulics,
Industrial Controls, Materials & Processes, Mechanisms, and Navigation
& GPS.

My name is Brian Secrest and I have been teaching at MMS for 30
years. I attended Rolling Hills Local Schools through 8th grade and
then attended Zanesville City Schools graduating from Zanesville HS in 1973.
I have Bachelors and Masters degrees from Ohio University and
Ohio Peace Officers Training certification from M.A.T.C. after which I worked
as a Watercraft Officer for the M.W.C.D. for 6 summers. I also was an Auxiliary Deputy with the
Guernsey County Sheriffs Department and a current member of the Pleasant City
Volunteer Fire Department.
