Mrs. Debra Beike
Family & Life Skills Instructor
Vocational Education Department Head
Intervention Grade 7 and 8
To help students develop
“EMPOWERING SKILLS” and the self-confidence necessary to set positive goals for
their future, respect for themselves, others, and the knowledge and skills
necessary to stay healthy and drug free.
Every 7th and 8th
grade student is required to take Home Economics for 1 semester an MMS. This is the first class in Vocational
Education to prepare students for the world of work. Employers are looking for “good team players that can meet
deadlines.” While we learn about
cooking, sewing, and responsible social values, classes are set up in a group
format with emphasis on personal interactions and time expectations.
