Class:               Regular English 9

 

Materials needed daily:             Pen/pencil, paper, textbook (or assigned book), notebook.

 

Additional materials needed:      Assignments due (speech preparations, reports, oral reports, homework, projects, etc.)

 

Homework procedures:            Vary (reading assignments[selections from text, novel being studied, etc.] will be assigned, vocabulary exercises will be graded).  There is no “set” time-table.

 

Testing procedures:                   I use “pop” quizzes (unannounced), unit (novel, time-period, theme, individual selection, genre), and semester tests.  All are given “as needed” or “as determined” by teacher.

 

Notebooks:                              Required – worth 25 points of total “work habits” grade is 10% of 9 week grade.

 

Additional Assignments:            As required
