Class:               College Planning I & II

 

Materials needed daily: Writing utensil, folder, paper, agenda and great attitude!

 

Homework procedures:            Most work is done in class.  Students will need to study for quizzes.

 

Testing procedures:                   Quizzes over word lists and practice ACT testing.

 

Additional Assignments:            Internet research will take place in class.  Also, this class is for the student who is looking to further their education.  We explore different colleges, what it takes to get in to each one, how much each one will cost, apply to them, find scholarship applications to go after, etc. 

 

                                                We also put together portfolios for graduation.  Resume writing, cover letters, essays, etc.

 

Grade Structure:                       Each assignment is given a point value.  All the points are totaled and averaged at the end of the 9 weeks.
