Class:               Home Ec I

 

Materials needed daily: Paper, writing utensil, notebook

 

Additional materials needed:      Book located in classroom

 

Homework procedures:            Very few homework assignments – except on needed basis.  Most work completed in class.

 

Testing procedures:                   Tests and/or quizzes are given approximately every 2-3 weeks depending on amount of information covered.

 

Notebooks:                              Students are given notes approximately once per week.  They need to place these in their notebooks along with any other assignments or handouts which are not graded.  Notebooks are graded every nine weeks.

 

Additional Assignments:            Magazines and newspapers are used in my classroom along with trips to the library and outside speakers.

 

Grade Structure:                       Grades are based on points.  Assignments turned in are based on specific individual points.  Tests will be worth 100 points.  Approximately 800-1000 points will be possible each nine weeks.

 

Additional Information:              Students will also have an opportunity to make-up missed work (within a 2 week period).  Extra credit is available per class not per student.
