Materials needed daily: Writing instrument

 

Homework procedures:            Homework is assigned 2-3 days per week, although students are given time in class to work on it and many complete their work in class.

 

Testing procedures:                   Tests are given at the end of each chapter –approximately every 3 weeks.  A review sheet is completed by the student 2-3 days before the test.  Test format is multiple choice, T/F, fill-in-the-blank, and short answer.

 

Additional Assignments:            A project and/or research paper is assigned 2-3 times per year.  Several days of class time is given to complete the project, and resources are available at school.  Points are lost for late projects.

 

Grade Structure:                       Tests and quizzes are worth 100 points each; class and homework assignments are worth 20 points each.  Projects/papers are worth 100-200 points.

 

Additional Information:              Extra credit points (5) are available weekly for completing a short written assignment that is posted in the room.  Any points received are added to the grade points accumulated for the quarter.
