Class:               Advanced English 10

 

Materials needed daily: Book and or folder, pen or pencil.

 

Homework procedures:            Homework assigned regularly, not necessarily daily; many are reading assignments and are given several days in advance. During grammar, assignments are daily.

 

Testing procedures:                   Many literature tests are on a “unit” basis (related stories, play, etc).  Others are on a test per selection basis.  During grammar, tests are frequent and cover one “concept” (parts of speech, parts of a sentence, objects, etc).

 

Notebooks:                              Not required; keep all handouts in folder.

 

Additional Assignments:            Dog research paper/oral report, possible short papers.

 

Grade Structure:                       Grades are based on total possible points for grading period.  Point values vary by test/assignment.  Points run from 500-1200 per period.  Grades are the average of total points.
