Class: Foods/Family Living
Materials needed daily: Writing instrument, folder to keep handouts in.
Additional materials needed:
Homework procedures: Homework given if assignment has not been completed in class.
Testing procedures: Tests cover 1-2 topics given every 2-3 weeks. Handouts used as a review – day before test.
Notebooks: Students are required to take notes in class each day and use them for quizzes and tests.
Additional Assignments: Current event – out of the newspaper or magazine – every 2 weeks. 2nd semester – a wedding scrapbook will be collected with prices and forms. This is a final course project – not completed or turned in results in zero credit for the course.
Grade Structure: Grades are based on points – approximately 400-500 points per-grading period. Tests range from 30-100 points. Grades are an average of total points.
Additional Information: During Lab Weeks – if a student misses a lab to make–up points – they may work on the lab at home and bring in a sample of the item they made.
