Class:               AP Senior English

 

Materials needed daily: Textbook, notebook, writing utensil

 

Additional materials needed:      Supplemental novels, etc. supplied by teacher

 

Homework procedures:            Students will have homework nearly every night as well as every weekend.  Reading assignments will make up the bulk of their assignments.

 

Testing procedures:                   Students will be tested frequently, sometimes as often as every week depending upon the unit being covered.

 

Notebooks:                              Students should take notes on a daily basis and use them to complete homework and prepare for tests.

 

Additional Assignments:            Students will frequently write compositions related to current reading assignments and incorporating summer reading materials.

 

Grade Structure:                       Daily grades include homework and quizzes on reading material.  Practice tests for the AP exam are part of their grades. Timed work and tests are required to prepare for the AP exam.

 

Additional Information:              Class participation in discussion of work is a required part of the students grade.
