personnel and bargaining/sessions with employees. Reconvened
at 9:05.
- Mr. Benton suggested that there be a transfer of funds from
Odyssey of the Mind fund to an academic excellence program such as
Close-Up. Since there has been no interest in participation in
the Odyssey of the Mind program in Buckeye Local for a number of
years, Mr. Benton felt that money left in the fund should be used
for a similar program. Mr. Zelek made a motion to move the
funds, seconded by Mr. Moore. Motion carried.
Administrative/Committee Reports
Maintenance report was distributed detailing improvements made and
status of clean up at the high school.
Mr. Pielech reported that the Quiet Title process for the sale of the
Rayland property is complete and transfer of money will finalize the
transaction.
Discussion Items
Mr. DeLuca raised a question in regard to a recent article
concerning Buckeye Local's participation in a newly formed league within
the OVAC. Mr. DeLuca wanted to know who had approved such
participation. It was determined that the article was not factual
- no one had given authorization for participation. The Principal
will contact the league organizers and make clear that Buckeye Local has
not officially agreed to participate. The Athletic Committee will
meet on the subject and make a recommendation to the Board.
