John Edward Barnhart barnhart22@comcast.net Graduated from University of Steubenville with a major in math.  Retired from Weirton Steel Corp in 1999 after 26 years.  Currently working in Pittsburgh for Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a Computer Programmer Analyst Developer.  Still love boating and own a boat and jet ski.  Still love my Chevrolets and own a 2006 Impala Super Sport, which takes me back to my 1966 Impala Super Sport, and a 1999 S10.  Plan to buy another Corvette in the next couple of years.  Love the beach and spent most of our vacations there when my kids were growing up.  Love to travel.  Have been to Scotland and England several times and have intentions of doing all of Europe when I retire.  Of course I still love football, especially Ohio State, the Steelers and the Buckeye Local Panthers.  I attend as many OSU games as I can get tickets for.  Was fortunate enough to have season tickets for the 2002 National Championship year and their run for the 2006 National Championship that fell just a little short.  It is so special watching the Buckeyes in Ohio Stadium.  Talk about a high.  I go to most of the Panther games, but it is getting hard watching them have bad seasons after bad season, especially the way they were in the 1990's.  I also run the clock for Weirton Madonna football and basketball games.  My kids graduated from Madonna and were active in football, basketball, baseball, and softball from the age of 5.  One of my hobbies is genealogy and I have been able to go back hundreds of years in my lineage.  The history I have found is really inspiring to me.  I have been pleasantly surprised as to my findings.  I posted my lineage on the internet and cousins from all over the country, that I never knew existed, have found my postings and contacted me.  I have been fortunate enough to even meet several of them.  I married a Weirton girl, Cecelia,  in 1973 and have three wonderful children, John Jr, Joseph, and Kathy.  John Jr is in Weirton, Joseph is in Richmond, Virginia, and Kathy lives near Pittsburgh.  John Jr works at Wheeling Pitt, Joseph works for Land America, and Kathy works for Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield.  Kathy earned her under graduate degree from WVU and her graduate degree from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh.  My wife, Cecelia, was a stay at home mom until the kids got into high school, but now works at Weirton Medical Center as a nurses' aide.  Well I was surprised to find all the years for the alumni posted on Buckeye Local's web site.  It would be nice to hear from any old friends from BHS.  Any one remember the dances at the center?  Go Blue Devils!
